Dear Governor, New Jersey's public schools are among the most expensive in the nation. As part of fiscal responsibility, and to achieve the 1875 New Jersey constitutional goal of a "Thorough and Efficient Education," New Jersey should limit the unbridled growth in unnecessary and extreme expenses at our public schools. The State should respect the will of the voters and stop overturning local votes that disapprove local school budgets. Instead, the State should have an open public mechanism that allows the voters to directly review, challenge and remove expenses for any budget that is not approved.

People who are outraged at the monolithic pejorative stance that NJEA has taken on the Governor's budget cuts.
