We the students of National Institute Of Technology Kurukshetra request the administration to please postpone the opening of institute by a minimum of 1 week because of of widespread epidemic "COVID-19" or commonly known as " Novel Corona Virus" . As you may know that almost of all of the students have gone home during the mid semester break from 9 to 13 March and will return to the institute via Public transports such as Flights , Railways , Buses etc. and there is a high probability that a student might not be as lucky as someone else. All it takes is one person to start a CHAIN REACTION.

And even if someone is suffering from flu like symptoms , they might attend the classes because as you know indian people are very optimistic.

We know the administration is worried about the academics of the students but this semester is longer than any other semester because of all the Fests are shifted to the even semesters. Even the Haryana Govt. has Declared an Epidemic int he state

and Delhi Govt. has shut down its institutions till 31st March

We know you will keep the welfare of your students in mind at any decision you may arrive.
