I have a 2013 Nissan Altima that has 86,000 (90% interstate miles) that needs a new transmission. I have been told that despite the fact that Nissan extended the power train warranty for 2007-2010 models, 2013 models do not have the extended warranty. From everything you read online these CVT transmissions are terrible. I don't understand why Nissan doesn't stand behind their product.

I had a 2007 Nissan Altima with CVT transmission. Before the car ever reached 110,000 miles it was on its( 3 rd ) CVT transmission with the 1st one that came in the car being replaced under full warranty at less than 20,000 MILES!! So on the second one now IT goes out At 70,000 miles and cost over 3,000.00 with Nissan agreeing to only pay 500.00 towrds the bill!! I have to take out a loan to pay for it! It last until about 110,000 miles and starts showing clear signs of failure also... do i put a now (4 th) transmission in it-- DEFINITLY NOT ! RIDICULAS!!

Our 2013 Nissan Sentra had to have transmission replaced at 63000 miles. Meanwhile our Scion xb has over 200K and no issues. Will definately not be buying a Nissan in the future.

I bought my 2014 Nissan Versa in August of 2014 the transmission started slipping back in February of 2017 . I took it back to the dealership I had gotten it from and they said the transmission was gone and that it would take 3800 dollars to fix. Now I have a brand new car barely three years old sitting in my driveway that I still owe money on and can't drive.

I've had all the same problems in my 2012 Nissan versa. They have refurbished not replaced the CVT. Couple days after getting the car back. Started having the same problems. Also about a month after I figured I'd give the car a once over and low and behold no oil at all in my engine but I just had an oil change done by them about 2 months prior to the refurbished cvt

I bought a brand new 2012 Nissan Versa from the dealer. It now has 90,000 miles and the CVT Transmission is shot! I took it to the dealer and they said I should have changed the transmission fuel every 60,000 miles to have prevented the damage. I also own an 2004 CRV, which I bought brand new. It now has 183,00 miles and I have never changed the transmission fluid and it has no transmission problems. I can't believe a brand new car is dead with only 90,000 miles on it. Nissan needs to take responsibility and compensate us! I will never buy a Nissan again!!

Bought a 2015 Nissan Sentra in January 2016 for long commute. Reached 70,000 miles and transmission needs to be replaced. Just did the 60,000 mile transmission fluid service and then it breaks? Was making wierd noises from the beginning and I took it in and they said that there were some bolts on the transaxle that were known to not be tightened properly from the factory and that they had fixed the problem. Seems like they know about these problems and are still selling these POS cars to unsuspecting customers
