NH Lawmaker's Endorsement of Rape Shows Clear Need for NH to Prioritize Victims' Services

I'd like to ask him how he'd feel if his Mother got raped.... What an awful human.

This "person" is truly a despicable monster. They should lock him up and throw away the key.

I don't know what to say. Why someone would say anything or think like this is so scary.

As a woman who experienced rape, this is offensive on levels that are beyond paralyzing. It is hurtful and hateful. No such person should be in ANY position of power.

NH needs to get this guy out of office ASAP. No one who has ever expressed these ideas, in any arena has the ethics or temperament to hold any public office.... not even dogcatcher. This guy is sick and delusional.

As a lawyer, I respect that the accused rapist has rights and I will defend those rights. However, I do not respect the actual rapist or their opinion. Nor do I care whether they liked it or not. Further, I question the thought process of anyone that does consider how the rapist feels.

I find it absolutely sickening that a man with this background ever made it into a position of political power. He needs to step down NOW.

I don't care what this guy meant to say. If you're a representative of people, don't presume rape is ok in any capacity.

So if somebody stabbed this guy, skinned him alive, or raped HIM, it wouldn't be "all bad" as long as the attacker enjoyed it, right? I take this to mean that if he were raped, he would not press charges because well his rapist had a good time, right?
