This is a petition to the President of the United States of America to declare the date of the 2012 NFL Kickoff (date TBA) a National Holiday. We are also petitioning the NFL to work with the White House to make this happen. Football is America's game, let's solidify that tradition.

Seeing this much momentum behind an idea that felt like a long shot brings a strange sense of relief. It remains a grueling process but knowing others see the value in this makes the weight easier to carry.
