Good Luck this issue affects everyone, just the other day a policeman shot and killed a Navajo women who was caught shop lifting. There is no justice in killing anyone of any race for committing a non-violent crime or for just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. The police are killing men, women and children alike and they need to be stopped. A badge doesn't give you the right to take a life, that badge is supposed to be a symbol of protection for all people.

There needs to be mental health monitoring of police, checks for PTSD from traumas from what they see daily...standards set and racial sensitivity training. If they have issues with race they are disqualified or fired. Most of us would be at our jobs! Who is helping the police become better police and weeding out those with fears at a level where pulling the trigger is their go -to option when on a call. Guns are a major problem due to police not knowing if someone is armed. But we seem to want to live in an armed nation. That means someone can carry a weapon in some states. Police then are not able to deem someone a danger just because they have a weapon in their possession. Outlawing assault and semi and automatic weapons and the ammo that goes with them would be a great help. Start with all of the above. Universal healthcare would help a great deal since mental illness among citizens may be properly treated. Mandatory integration programs for schools would be great too. Humane, Equal, Dignity. Compassion. Approach everything using those four words.
