Is your dog a New Yorker? Let him ride the subway!

I find it ridiculous how there's so much hate towards not letting dogs onto subways. Ok, so we allow small dogs in carriers, so why not big dogs? If it was truly a ban they shouldn't let any kind of pet on. The rule makes no sense and I'll tell you why. I don't even get why people complain about dogs when there's the person with 5 bags, bikes on trains, homeless, sick people, people that block, NOISY KIDS on every train, gum chewers, LOUD music, people that drink, read newspapers with people on each side of them, nail clippers (still!!!) people that pick their noses, makeup artists, drunk people, people that are clearly high, and then people that just use the train as their bathroom. It's not about dogs being equal to humans but the fact is EVERYONE ELSE makes the ride not enjoyable for other people!!! Why the hell blame it on dogs to make it worse when humans do? It makes no sense. I've searched a lot on this topic and the people that are against this never comment on the flip side. You can't hold dogs and their owners (good and bad) against this when most of the subway is shitty itself. You people even litter, spit, and treat the subway as shit and yet you find hell coming down when some people need to use the subway to take their dog for their yearly vet. A more dire situation is down the line if the subway even runs in some parts at all due to lack of funds and maintenance. If the people that cared how much nuisance a dog could do, why not the opposite. How about you don't cause a nuisance as well? Why don't we go after the people who make the ride worse? No one does that, but it's ok to go after a pet. No one follows the rules on the subway, people continue to bring dogs in, and at the end of the day, it shouldn't even matter. There is so much shit on the subways in regards to rules and behavior it's a lost cause to try and enforce anything, so why focus so much energy not allowing some dogs on? seriously why is this still an issue in 2016? my dog is my family and he should be allowed to ride with me.

my dog is way better behaved than half the people on the 6 train anyway. tired of carrying a giant bag just to get to the vet.
