My niece and nephew have thrived at this arena. They will be devastated if it no longer exists--ask people to contribute a bit more, find wealthy investors or businesses to promote the valuable sport of skating. It is treasured around the world and residents of Townsville have a right to train just as those in other counties, countries.

The Ice Rink has been a part of my life. I enjoyed skating there when I was a child. I then enjoyed taking my children there to skate. It is such a sad loss. It is very affordable to go as well. My children, friends and I have lots of great memories at the Ice Rink.

Being apart of the rink for the past 6 years (both playing sports and working there) its a big change for us, we need a new Ice Rink for us it will bring sporting events, ice shows ect to Townsville. Broomball will bring at least a National Championships every 3-4 years to town, Ice Hockey could also start a senior comp as well as a junior comp and host other clubs around Australia to play. Figure skating could have a proper comps and also have ice shows on a regular basis. We need an ice rink that will help the Ice Sport Community in Townsville grow together. If a ice rink can be looked at running via solar power and being a full size rink it can bring so much to the north.

My grandchildren use the rink a few times a week, they love their individual sports and fun nights at the rink, it would be a great shame for them and others not to be able to continue.

I loved to skate but not for sport purpose, yet I want Townsville to have one so I can skate and watch the hockey game if there is any.
Please get them a rink!
