Keep our Maindee community library open. It provides an excellent friendly service to book lovers like me and my young children. It is an imperative part of my daughters' learning

Libraries are so important to the local community - especially to the young and to the elderly.

Please please keep Maindee library open. It is a life line in a community that our councils has allowed to be destroyed. It is a meeting place for the elderly middle aged young and children. We need this library as it is easily available to the elderly. I am disabled so find it so easy to get into. The staff are great always so friendly and helpful. Please think again as so many shops and facilities have gone causing Maindee to become a ghost town to what it was 50 years ago. Not everyone can get to these out of town places and it is so difficult to get to many of the places you are telling us to go to. How do the elderly cope with this also young parents they do not have the money to bus to all these places. Come on you councillors think again and remember the people living in this area.
