Congratulations on the greatest comeback in the history of sport!
We are writing to ask you to please bring the America's Cup racing back to Newport, RI, the undisputed sailing capital of the world. As you know, Newport, RI hosted all 12 Cup campaigns from 1930 to 1983 when John Bertrand and Australia II pulled off the 2nd biggest upset in sailing history by defeating Dennis Conner's Liberty.
The time is right to restore America's Cup racing to its historic home.

Seeing the momentum behind this request is humbling and it proves that many of you still feel the weight of our sailing history. The road ahead remains long and difficult but this show of interest keeps me moving forward.

Been waiting for this for years. Way better than SF, way more history.

YES PLEASE. Watching the races in Newport was a huge part of my childhood. Nothing compares to the atmosphere there.
NEWPORT IS THE HOME OF THE CUP. period.
would be amazing to see it back in RI. hope larry makes the right call
