Newcastle City Council please ban plastic straws, plastic bags, balloons & single use bottles!

Single use plastic straws need to go !! They are not a necessity in life and I am sick of seeing them in our drains and washing up on our beaches. Our prestine beaches will soon turn to waves of plastic similar to Asian countries north of us!!

Would love to see this happen :-)

Single use plastic is so mind numbingly stupid.

There are plenty of other options apart from plastic lets use them !

Please look at minimising use of single use plastics at council sponsored events.

It's such an easy swap, we really need to start doing all we can to help preserve the natural beauty of Newy! Not some trash ridden town

NCC, please take affirmative action and ban single use plastics in our beautiful town.

I think that plastic bottles should not be banned because you can get 10 cents for them

Straw are useless. If you really feel the need to have them then get a reusable one. It saves money and the environment. Double bonus.
