Union Pacific owns the RR tracks that run behind Sycamore street their trains run all night and into the early hours of the morning the train operators have no mercy blasting the horn walk-in all of us in the neighborhood.
The sound of the horn has been measured to exceed 110 db
At times the train just stand still for a couple of minutes and the train operator continues blasting the horn.
We need restrictions to enforce the city noise ordinance from 10:00 pm to 08:00 am
Technically U.P. Is in violation of this city ordinance and should be penalize every time a train runs after 10:00 pm violating and disturbing the peace.

It's a real nuisance, 24/7, in particular during the night. I vote for quiet-zones for all active rail road crossings in Newark, CA. Please stop the train horns.

All crossings through outNewark should be quite zones... I live near City Hall & heat train horns from Cedar & Mathews Landing every fricken day... mornings, early evening and through out the night
I find it over the top that the sound there horn like 5-9 times at each crossing

Please make Newark a quite zone. We have so many crossings which makes Newark a place where too much noise i addition to all the fireworks.
