This is a petition that will be sent to Michigan Governor Rick Snyder asking him to reconsider his wish of building a new bridge from the city of Detroit to Canada. This bridge project is predicted to cost $3.6 billion. The current bridge from Detroit to Canada is still in perfect operating condition. The main reason Snyder wants to build this bridge to avoid high-traffic on the Ambassador Bridge. The more economically stable decision Snyder could make is to just renovate the Ambassador Bridge, but thats not the point of this petition. The city of Detroit does not need 2 bridges as well as a tunnel. I hope my position coincides with yours and please sign this petition to make your position known to Governor Snyder as well.

3.6 billion is a joke. we have crumbling roads everywhere but they want to waste money on a bridge we dont even need. fix the potholes first governor.

Ridiculous waste of tax money. Ambassador is fine. Stop spending our money on projects that dont help the average person in this city.
