WE, THE WOMEN FOR PEACE AND UNITY.

A petition to Vicar General and Knanaya Region Director Rev. Fr. Thomas Mulavanal

Dear Rev. Fr. Thomas Mulavanal,

We, the women members of Knanaya Catholic Mission, Inc., New York, request your kind attention to the disturbances that took place in our community since Fr. Joseph Mathew Adopillil took charge here as our mission director.

We are active participants in our mission by attending Mass, encouraging kids to participate in all religious and community activities which made us unique and vibrant with peace and happiness under one roof, our community center; as a family. We have an emotional attachment to this community center, we value that and we prefer to continue our mission the same way as we have been doing for the past 14 years.

The very first Mass by Fr. Adopillil on December 20th, and every Mass we attended ever since made the women feel very disturbed by his provocative speeches and actions which is leading to a split in the community. We, the mothers who always cares for the peace, unity and happiness of our family are now really concerned and anxious about what is going on under his pastoral care.

Peace and harmony in our community are our priority. What we, the mothers , expect from you as our spiritual leaders are to be more spiritually involved in helping us to raise our kids as God loving and caring, thus making them” proud Knanayites”..

With respect and with weeping heart we would like to say "There is no curse in this world which could overcome the tears of Motherhood, No power or person can withstand it, regardless of who or what they represent. Please do not cause pain and confusion to our children, the Gods gift to us.

Prayerfully requesting your involvement,

The Women of Knanaya Catholic Mission, Inc.

Reaching this point has been exhausting but seeing so many of you acknowledge the unrest in our mission keeps me going. It is clear that the desire for peace is shared by many more people than I initially thought.
