I spent a lot of time in this area. Why are we building a new park when kids can't take care of the one they have? The park is always full of garbage specifically around the outside of the skate park itself. Underage kids use the area to drink and get high. They get alcohol and drugs from older people using the park. Several instances while I was picking up garbage needles were found. I think this is a terrible idea. Let's not make a new park and turn the exsisting one into a soccer field instead.

I'd love to see a new skate park. I was just a kid when the trees were taken down in the field I once played in as a child and I've gotten my share of scars at the current park but it is time to update it so kids will come out and play again.

It's an area where kids NEED a place to be active & safe while being allowed the fun they deserve. A skatepark is a great way to keep kids outside! & I love it too

If the city does not take care of it, people will abandon it since they are already going to newer parks in other towns, and the problems that started due to neglect will only get worse. It is worth the effort!
