YES I VERY AGREE THAT THE SKATPARK NEEDS NEW UPDATES MAYBE EVEN AN EXPANSION OF THE PARK I SEE MANY SKATERS AND YES IT DOES OFTEN GET A LITTLE TOO CROWDED! Would be very awesome to have a new park!!(:

When I was a teen we petitioned North Ogden City for a skate park and they told us we had to come up for the funds ourselves. We retaliated by skating in all the places they didn't want us to skate. Then, the skate parks showed up. Funny how that happens. North Ogden has done a great job maintaining their park for years. It's almost always in use. Ogden City? Not so much.. South Ogden has never had a skate park. Considering that this is a 20 (plus) year old issue, I would hope that Ogden City would be doing a better job at attempting to address this. Maybe even take it a step further and make it an approach for the summer games! ;) Yeah, its a long shot, though we didn't get much snow this year, may as well appeal to the other crowd. Looking at the RAMP budget I can easily come to the conclusion the funds are available to revamp this park/these parks or even add a park dedicated to skating sports. Nearly 1 Million dollars in RAMP funding for 2015. $400,000 for the Smith Sports park? Please do better to make and maintain skate parks for Ogden. Thank you!

They need this skatepark. I am a mechanical engineer that has been skateboarding for 10 years and if there are any city meetings on the design and architecture of the park I would love to volunteer to help.

I agree most of the time the skate park is full of older kids and the young kids cant even try to skate in there hope something gets done soon ...
