Children should be able to thrive whether they live in a city or the country. St. Finians is no longer fit for purpose to house a school as per basic department guidelines! The teachers spend more time moving furniture to facilitate their teaching than actually teaching! It's not fair on our brilliant and hard working teachers and it's not good enough for this generation of amazing kids coming through the school. The government needs to step up now and give back to the rural communities after taking so much from them during the recession. A proper education is a very basic requirement for any community. No more excuses from the government, it's time to give something back!

This is so badly needed. The kids are cramped into a school that is way out dated based on department guide lines. You are greatly hampering the kids education and stopping them from excelling. The Irish Government has never built a school in Waterville, St. Finian's was built by the British government. It's time to step up and help the kids and future of Waterville, South Kerry and rural Ireland.
