In as much research that you will "produce" the school has twice that. And it isn't only our school. There is national research on why the schedule is more beneficial than our current one. The school isn't implementing something to make us fail. You are just hesitant to change and get out of what you are used to. Consider the pitfalls of our current schedule and the benefits of the new one. This is not up to us. We are here for four years. The administration and teachers who went into this decision have made a commitment to the betterment of this school. Which one of those groups can put aside their self-interests and focus on the school as a whole?

Of course the creators have some good intentions, but they have failed to listen to the voice of students and teachers. With 1000 signatutes the school will be forced to at least rethink their decision to implement this new schedule. This campaign was started in a hurry and this petition is only the start. We plan to produce more in depth material and research into why this schedule isn't right for Ladue, as well as knew ways to communicate to school administration should this petition not be enough. You do not attend this school anymore and that is evident in your complete lack of understanding of the new schedule. You are in no place to judge it. Because your concerns are baseless and uninformed. The administrators have already addressed them. There IS AcLab-- the common learning time is ac lab, just more structured.

The schedule that is set in place now is an amazing schedule. I wouldnt of been as successful at ladue if it wasnt for block schedule and ac lab. The block schedule made it easier to get homework done and made me feel more independent. Also, class cant last 45 or so minutes because it took tgat long for class to really get into motion. Ac lab was a great way for me to make myslef go talk to my teachers like i need now in college. it also helped me to catch up on all my behind work or if i needed extra help. limiting students to catch up and get help is awful. so all in all changing anything would make the students have a harder time and limit them.

The block system was vital and is what taught me how to manage an increase in work. It held me responsible for using my time responsibly and effectively and reaching out to teachers when I needed help rather than waiting for them to talk to me when my grades suffered. Any alumnus would agree that Ac Lab was the period they needed most to keep mentally and academically organized, and the time they needed to ask for help, make up missed assignments, and collaborate with classmates on studying and group projects.

This is completly over engineered. Keep it simple and don't fix what is not broken.

The new schedule would cause more complications, especially in the advanced level classes. The unstructured ac lab also allowed students to get more done. If you only need to meet with a teacher for a few minutes, why be stuck in that room for additional time. Plus if kids have group projects they need to work on plus one student needs to meet aith a teacher about something then time is wasted. Also aclab is used to take make up tests but the proposed schedule makes it harder to that.

This is so stupid school is just getting worse and worse I don't understand. Other classes have been much worse than ours -_-.

Academic Lab was a vital part in allowing me to do my homework on my own schedule, and also helped me spend more time doing extracurriculars if I had no need for teacher help. Structuring everything limits students even more and renders them completely unprepared for college.

This new schedule will make it seriously difficult to do all homework and catch up on missing work. Furthermore, if you miss a day of school, we need to be able to see more than just three teachers. We, as students, need the ability to see all of our teachers when we need to. We all have a lot of work to do with the current block schedule, changing this schedule so that there are days when we have even more classes will cause us to have more work than we already do. AC lab is a necessity that we need in order to succeed.

The ram day will basically ruin everything. Not only is it 7 classes, if a student is sick or misses that day, they will need to make up work. Making up all of that work with just one "Common Learning Time" per week will be impossible. Also, taking a test or making up a lab during "Common Learning Time" would be impossible as well. Although some people may not use their AC Lab time wisely, that is their own choice. Freedom in AC Lab teaches students responsibility.

Ac lab is the only way to go about this, having gone to a school before where you had 7 classes in one day, I can day that it has way more stress, is much more tiring then the normal block days and ready established. Keep and ready lab, no change.
