Hello my name is Michelle Mullens and I am writing this petition in order to get a new red light put in on the Brookter Side of the new Fremaux Exit. Since the construction and opening of the new Shopping Center on the Fremaux Exit, there is a very large problem on the other side of the overpass. There is a Red light at the top of the hill where the Interstate exit is sure, but what about the residents that live in Beverly Hills and Kingspoint? We can no longer safely cross the Fremaux Road to get to Walmart or to just try and join the flow of traffic safely. There has been at least 1 accident a week since the Shopping Center started construction and I know of at least 2 deaths that happened with people who were just trying to cross the road and take their family to the store. It is no longer safe to take our kids to the Duck Pond that is on the other side of Fremaux, and just crossing the road sometimes can take upwards of a half an hour since the cars exiting the interstate and the Shopping Center do not have to stop at the bottom of the overpass hill.
