Utterly Ridiculous. Already seen an accident at the Russell Road Junction. Cars don't expect to see bikes on the pavement and theres no room on the roads to overtake.

i do not understand why a cycle lane was created on the pavements through Walton when the huge majority of cyclists that we get in Walton are road for cyclists and therefore would never consider cycling on a pavement as it would be far too dangerous at the speed they go at! Installing these cycle lanes was the most absurd expenditure of public money. Money which should have been spent improving the road surfaces in the area to make them safer for cyclists!

Road is dangerous and footpath is so narrow in places you can not push a double buggy along without taking up cycle path as well.

Couldn't agree more. I have only seen two cyclists out of many using the new cycle paths and one being an accident at the end of Sandy Lane involving the cyclist and car... The roads are now more dangerous for all users!

I haven't seen 1 cyclist use the paths they are in the road and at weekends 2 and 3 abreast it's such a waste of money the pavements should have been narrowed and lanes put in the road or used the money for pothole repair

Cycle Lanes are dangerous - Cyclist aren't using them and roads are now so thin that overtaking is dangerous.
