This long time bmx track deserves much more, this is the place where top bmx riders come from and started in. Look at these young children who lives nearby already had put themselves in the shoes, why would you want to steal their path in goals away to such an challenging sport where everyone gets along well rather than the streets where most troubles and hater are. How about fix that up instead of destroying the things that gets everyone together with smiley faces?

BMX has been the greatest sport for my whole family. We've met so many great families and had so many great times. This is an Olympic sport that started here in SoCal, it deserves a fraction of the attention we give to other sports.

BMX is a sport that has no schedule. Kids and adults can go enjoy some good fun and exercise or compete at higher levels. It can be a cheap night of fun or months of family travels across the Nation. There are very few sports that can accommodate any type of schedule. As a BMX family we also play Baseball and Soccer year round. Yes, the schedules can get tough, yes, it can get expensive but it does not have to. Team sports are good for some kids/adults but others need a "me" sport where they can excel on their own or fail on their own. Both teach valuable life lessons they will carry with them their entire lives. We NEED a local BMX track to call home, Orange NEEDS a BMX track to allow our young and not so young to peddle out aggression, peddle out excessive energy, train themselves how to focus on a goal and reach it as well as to lose like a champion. Not everyone on the track gets a trophy, it must be earned. If you don't agree with that last statement, go out to your local BMX track and watch a young child EARN their 1st trophy, you will quickly change your mind. That child now understands what it means to put in effort and work hard for something you want. Many BMX riders still have the very 1st trophy they earned and can probably tell you what year, what age and what track they were at. As of tomorrow, August 31 2016, NO ONE WILL EVER EARN ANOTHER TROPHY AT THE WORLD FAMOUS ORANGE Y BMX TRACK! That is a sad fact that we as parents, citizens, City leaders and most of all The Orange YMCA have failed our youth of today and forever. For what? A bloated payroll of a flailing YMCA which now has no choice but to sell or lease the land that was donated and entrusted to them to benefit the youth of Orange and surrounding cities. If you have spent the time to read my rant, please take the time to voice your concern of this crooked organization to our public leaders, city officials or the IRS tip line. We may not get our beloved Y back but we must make sure these crook

I grew up with the Orange Y BMX track in the late 80's and all through the 90's and I still can't believe it's gone. Orange County needs another track.

Let's make this happen! Every major city should have a BMX track for the kids and the 38 year old kids like myself. Oh and my own kids.
