My daughter attends Ledford High School and is involved with the drama program. Every year they must raise large amounts of money to pay for a venue to have a proper performance. It's very expensive and the students feel the pressure to always raise the funds. It's not fair for them to always travel to another venue for practice and performances.

How can we build a "state of the art school" while not providing facilities for things such as the arts (drama and band)????

Every high school should have an auditorium. There are too many events that need a large area that a high school does not need to be continuously spending time and money for booking and use.

where would this world be without our fine arts? half the kids on the world depend on the music and fine arts to get away from this harsh society we call life

I’m sick and tired of the arts department getting cut! Athletics are no more important that the ARTS!

they need this so bad, it's not right to do just technology updates and new sports equipment, but by a place to do theater plays or band concerts or even chorus. it's just one room for 3 classes, it not like a football stadium or anything.

This is depressing. An auditorium is needed for chorus and band and theater and if you take that away then the children won't have an outlet to let theirselves be who they want to be! Besides, you need an auditorium for induction ceremonies and for meetings. You can't do everything in the gym and expect to keep people happy. That's really not what gyms are for anyway. This school NEEDS an auditorium.
