People, I am 100% in favor of getting the kids back on the field. I have two sons that play. I am also an umpire. What I think you should be cautious of is the restrictions you are purposing to get back on the field. As long as players are using the same baseball/softball, there will always be risks. To me eliminating a post game high five is insignificant compared to a pitcher and catcher throwing the same ball back and forth over a hundred times during a game. We need to educate parents and players on safety. We cannot pass judgement on players or coaches that do not want to shake hands or stand close to others. We need to respect each others concerns. There will always be risks. We NEED to get the kids back on the field as soon as possible. We cannot make the process less enjoyable or we will lose kids from baseball forever.

Let them play! Golf can play and Walmart has 200 people in the store closer than on a baseball field!!

The kids need some outlet at this time and I am in support of letting them play baseball!

Need to open everything up! We can't keep moving the goal post further away every day.

The boys need to play ball and can do so in a safe way. It is for their physical and emotional health. Parents can assess the risk for their own children and decide if they want their child to participate based on the health concerns for that child/family. Thank you in advance for supporting them in their love of baseball and athletics.
