The kids need an organized outlet! They have responsible parents and they will do the safe and responsible thing. These kids are missing out on enough! They need time in the sun and running around.

If beaches and parks can be open, then a baseball diamond with modest # of players and coaches can practice and play with social distancing.

IMO at this point keeping kids cooped up is doing more harm than actually contracting the virus would. Let's get them outside and active again!

Breathable masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and distancing will not stop the virus from spreading if it hits one child, but it will create a confidence in the community to recognize that most are asymptomatic and most are not at risk. Older fans and umps/coaches should take extra precautions, and if anyone tests positive that child is removed and everyone must be tested. That would be rare, if it's taken seriously. There's no reason these kids can't play baseball, which they missed all spring.

Would love to know why we can be in Lowe’s, Home Depot, and ShopRite (indoor and walking past people) whenever we want but not outdoors on a baseball field where we can still maintain distance.

As an athletic trainer, I support this with a few additional modifications: minimizing travel distance, starting out with one game/week, and staying in contact with local department of health to be alerted o increased numbers rising in that area, waiver forms, and information provided to parents on safe resumption of sports after COVID-19. These modifications can be amended as time goes on to see if there had been any siginificant jump in cases. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiology/fullarticle/2766124?guestAccessKey=6e2409c7-67d4-45ea-bc59-299c2d0a9db1&utm_source=For_The_Media&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=ftm_links&utm_content=tfl&utm_term=051320&fbclid=IwAR1A6bym6r78IW25cNqsiuZGAYlR3g4sJcoC-vsQvZ7BedidmExPjB5ZKlY. Can also get a bucket of bleach water to dip ball in after every hit
