Years of tradition are held in that name! It's known across the state. Just because Carbon Hill, Cordova, Hoover, etc had a new school built didn't mean they changed the name. So why should Walker have to change simply because a new building was erected?! Why didn't the people of Jasper and surrounding areas get a vote in this matter?

I graduated from Walker High School and I do not agree with the name change! Then you have to change the Alma Mater and everything! This is RIDICULOUS! None of us alumni will accept this!

It's hard to have a school without students, which is symbolically what we become when our voices aren't heard. We are the ones representing this name, therefore deserve to have an opinion. #WewantWalker
