We have just moved into Haddenham. Our youngest son is a keen skateboarder and was really looking forward to meeting new people and skating at the park. He is devestated it has been removed.

Haddenham needs somewhere that kids can hang out with out being deemed a nuisance. This is a perfect opportunity.

I'm a local childminder and I frequently visit the skate park with children of all ages, it's a fantastic resource and definately needs replacing. Not only does it provide healthy outdoor entertainment for older children, it's a great place for pre-schoolers on balance bikes and those learning to cycle or scoot. Even my youngest toddlers enjoy the physical challenge of walking up and down the ramps (we always observe safety and do not use the park for this purpose when others are cycling or skating), so the park is well used during the day when it's older users are at school too. Please replace it soon!

This will be an expensive project and the Parish Council will need a significant amount of grant money to fund it. Grant funders need to see that there is local support and user input into the design.

I'll sign .. but are you sure that 500 signatures will mean funding straight away? We're in Sutton.. With no skate park at all ... and it's taken years of jumping up and down, asking for a skate park, , ... and we're only just seeing a 'maybe' light at the end of the tunnel...! We've been wanting a skate park since my son was 5 ... hes 18 now!! Good luck with your quest :)

An essential outdoor resource for our young people.
It will improve their health and reduce the risk of obesity.

This should not be happening as the Skate park was provided and was not Maintained correctly and was built with bad quality materials.
Upto the point the skate park was taken more than enough Children were using it.
The new park should reflect ages as young as 5 as my daughter had no problem using the smaller ramps.

my son has skateboarded, scootered, roller bladed and unicycled on the old skatepark....He's pretty lost without it. A new (and hopefully improved) skate park is much much needed.

Would be lovely to have a new skate park. My little ones have just started to take an interest in the old one. Such a shame it had to go.
