To the Fayette County Public Library Board members:

I am asking that you consider Michelle Holly to be considered for the position of director at Fayette County Public Library System. She has a master's degree in Library Science and is currently working as a clerk at the Oak Hill Public Library. We are protesting the fact that serious consideration hasn't been given to her.
Remember to put where you are from on your signature. Also please copy and share this link. We need to get the word out.

The weight of this push is starting to register and I honestly need a moment to process how many people care about this library. It has been an exhausting road but seeing this level of interest keeps me moving forward.

Michelle would be excellent as a director. Michelle was one of my students , when she was placed in the intellectual gifted program. She has great critical thinking skills and problem solving skills which is needed to be in This leadership role.

Michelle is a former student of mine. She is a well-rounded individual with a good work ethic, knowledgeable, sincere, hard-working, and diligent to complete tasks. If you want someone who is fully capable of leading the library system forward, you will find it in Michelle Holly.

I do hope that she be not only considered for the position but hired. There may be others having the qualifications for the position, but being from the area with her experience and personality, there should be no question as to her ability. Michelle has given herself to her job so let’s repay her and hire her.

It’s disheartening that this petition has to be started in the first place. I urge the Board of Directors to listen to the will of the public and hire Michelle. I also urge the Board of Directors to apologize for their unprofessional conduct as evidenced by their lack of dialogue and lack consideration of a clearly qualified, well-respected candidate.

Michelle works hard. I've gotten to know her through taking my children to story time. I couldn't think of a better person for this job. She's always helping the children and adults too. Always knows the answer to every question. She does it with a smile on her face.

This job should have been Michelle’s to begin with. It is disheartening that a clearly qualified (local) candidate was so egregiously slighted. Please correct this poorly handled situation and give Michelle the job she deserves.

I encourage you to consider Miss Holly for the position. She is certainly qualified, a member of our community and familiar with our needs.
