Final supporters
A Site Plan Control application has now formally been received for 7 Harlech Court in the Guardsman Road and Green Lane area. The Application will facilitate a Bell Mobility telecommunication tower located at the southwest corner of this property. The proposed tower will be 40 meters in height with a base of 48 square meters within a fenced in area of 510.50 square meters on the 0.26 hectare site.
I am a resident of the Aileen-Willowbrook-Green Lane area and am firmly opposed to a new tower being located at this location and urge Markham Council to issue a 'non-concurrence' (rejection) of this Application.
I believe that we must make better use of existing infrastructure such as hydro poles, light and signal standards before allowing a proliferation of new cell towers. We must also have a clearer and impartial understanding of the health impacts of exposure to radio-frequency electromagnetic fields before proceeding with any new tower approvals and that community consultation is paramount in each instance.

Reaching this level of support has been a long road and I admit the exhaustion is setting in. Seeing so many of you join this effort reminds me that we are not fighting this alone.

This is going to look hideous. Nobody wants to look at a giant metal eyesore when they step out their front door.
Not in my backyard. Find somewhere else to put it.
40 meters is way too high for a residential area. Keep that thing away from our houses.
Ridiculous idea. Put it on a hydro pole or hide it somewhere else. Leave our street alone.
We already have enough towers around here. Why do they need another one right in the middle of our neighborhood???
