New Catholic secondary for South West Glasgow

We diffently need new school more kids few schools here

Secondary schooling is a major issue in this area. And must be addressed

needed due to new housing

Not disputing that Wullie, but Catholic schools don’t only serve the Catholic community any more so this will help hundreds of families. I’ve started this campaign because at the moment it’s the Catholic secondary which has been removed and not replaced. One step at a time.

Not just Catholic schools that are needed. There’s also a need for non denominational schools. And don’t forget primary schools.

The educational no mans land is exactly how I’ve referred to it when I’ve discussed it before Linda. Hopefully this will be the end of people in your position. It’s absolutely disgraceful that people have to separate their children. If you still have a child in Primary, that’s three sets of drop offs, pick ups and uniforms to be purchased! Not acceptable, and for many utterly impossible. Thank you for your support. Hopefully it will make a difference. X

To reiterate what my wife has said already we have been affected by this and were forced to send our children to 2 different high schools it was a really stressful experience. Its like living in no mans land living in this area we were let down by both councils and the Scottish Govt when we were removed from the St Ninians catchment. I agree something needs to be done for this area.

Badly in need of high school

I would love for there to be a new catholic school to be built for my sone to attend. He is p.2 just now in st Angela’s primary.

A new catholic high school in the south side area would be fantastic as my son surfers from autism and crohns disease so a closer school in the area would be more practical

Bearing in mind that Catholic schools no longer serve only the Catholic community, this is something which will benefit hundreds of families from all manner of backgrounds. It is desperately needed.

Yes we do need another school as everywhere is full.
