Please give this to our children. It opens more opportunities to keep them close to home.

In an era of growing child and adult obesity, it is essential that we provide adequate resources to promote the health and well being of our children. This isn't just "something nice" for our kids, it's absolutely VITAL that we support our children.

I've been coaching Hereford rec and travel baseball for for 12 years now and I can't believe we don't have a 90 diamond for the kids to practice and play on. I actually moved my son to another program just so he could practice on a 90' diamond since Hereford did not have one. The biggest transition young players have to make is moving to a full size diamond at 13 years old and the program looses a lot of players to other programs for that reason. It is definitely something that needs to be done.........and has needed to be done for a long time. Honestly it's ridiculous to not have the right size diamonds for the kids to play on.

As a youth baseball coach for several years, I am acutely aware of the lack of 90 foot diamonds in our area, relative to other counties in the state. I wholeheartedly endorse this proposal.

As a former baseball player in the Hereford Travel League, Hereford High School (Player and Coach), and in college, it goes without saying how important having another 90' baseball diamond is in this community. Baseball is a great game and we need more fields for the older kids to play on to improve their skills. Having another 90' field will benefit many players and families in this community.

I strongly support the need for a new 90' Diamond in the Hereford Zone.

This isn't a huge transition. The field would still be usable for other events at other times. Otherwise, too much wear and tear is being placed on the high school field.

I am one of the coaches for the 13-14 baseball teams and our boys are practicing on softball diamonds with no pitchers mounds. In addition, most of our games have to be played at facilities not close by because we have limited access to a field. Their is no reason why the Hereford zone and its growing population should be saddled with just a single field to be shared when the high school sees fit. Further, this is a detriment to player development of which a large portion will be attending Hereford High and possibly playing for them.

Let's make this a reality! We have one diamond (without lighting) at Hereford High and are in great need to keep the Hereford Baseball program going for future generations!

HAS graduate with plans of raising a family in the HZ. I would love to see Hereford sports remain at the same levels when my children come through the program.
