At the time ABC cancelled OLTL, it was ABC's highest-rated soap, as well as the 3rd highest-rated soap of the broadcast networks. It went away because someone at ABC wouldn't admit they were wrong, not because of ratings. Prospect Park gave it a good shot, but they had insufficient resources.
