It's been a year and a half since Space and Bell Media cancelled Primeval: New World, the Canadian spin-off to the British sci-fi show, Primeval. After that, I spent a year hopping Syfy would pick it up after its US run, but nothing's happened since.

Now, if I'm not mistaken, Netflix has their own original content on their VOD service. Some of their shows are previously cancelled shows that they revived such as Arrested Development, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Killing, and Canada's own Trailer Park Boys. At one point, they were interested in picking up Terra Nova.

It’s been three years since Watch cancelled Primeval. I’ve heard of the show after watching the trailer on the DVD copy of Roland Emmerich’s 10, 000 B.C. but the first time I actually watched it was on YouTube, when I saw the clip of the Gorgonopsid vs Future Predator fight scene and it blew my mind completely. A few months later, I found out there was a Primeval marathon happening on Space. After it ended, there was a trailer to New World, and I waited until after the summer for the premier. I’ve watched every episode on Space. It was my favorite show since Fox cancelled Terra Nova. That Christmas, I got all five seasons of the original series on DVD. Two months after New World was cancelled, I got the complete series on Blu-ray, which completed my collection. I watch the whole show at my cottage with my family and they actually liked it

If Netflix were to revive the shows, this could finally lift us from the weight of the cliffhangers they ended off on. Matt Anderson’s future self-telling him to “go back”. Evan Cross and Dylan Weir running to the closing anomaly back to their home time period, as the other anomalies start closing around them one-by-one. What did they change? What happened in the future? Are these events somehow linked? Could this lead to what could be a potential crossover in the form of a television movie or a two-part mini-series? Yeah. Primeval: Continuum. Sounds sick.

Also, it can give Netflix their own-shared universe, like Marvel. Netflix won’t have to air the shows in the United Kingdom. In the UK, the shows cold premier on ITV and be repeated on Watch (rather than the other way around), and outside the UK, they would be labeled as “Netflix Original”.

Those who are reading this, please sign this petition so Impossible Pictures, Omni Film Productions and Bell Media find a home for Primeval and Primeval: New World at Netflix. The best VOD service in history and the guys who put Blockbusters out of business.
