Stars beat thumbs, just as I'd like to beat whoever started Netflix using thumgs.

Please bring back the star system! I took the time to write when I watched and it helped me greatly and deciding what to watch I do not like the thumbs up thumbs down

I read it changed because they are butthurt too many of thier original shows are getting 1 star rated. I miss being able to see what others think of a show before I waste three hours to find out it's junk.

The 5-star rating system is VASTLY BETTER than thumbs up / thumbs down. C'MON, that's YouTube free stuff! Netflix, you are BETTER than this!

The star rating were more effective and engaging in every imaginable way. Anyone who was in any way involved in proposing and approving the change to this new binary system should be fired for incompetence.

I cancelled my netflix but it won't be in effect until May 20th, my next business cycle. If they go back to the stars then I will stop the cancellation process.

I can't believe I still pay for such a mismanaged service. I am about at my end.

Hate the new rating system. Shut off my subscription and I won't be renewing until they get rid of the new system.

While I understand the statements made by Netflix regarding customer engagement, the ratings system was more useful for various reasons. For example, the binary (thumbs up/thumbs down) method doesn't inform me if I 'loved' a movie or 'barely liked it'. The usage of the binary system has forced me to rethink how I document my love for cinema. I now use IMDB to chart my film ratings, but I'd very much like to have the old system back, rather than utilize multiple sites for this.

Netflix, if you’re reading this, go back to what you had. Your AI or whatever it is that determines recommendations isn’t good enough. I’m done with you until you fix it. Either you go back to the old system, or risk becoming nothing more than a site to watch reruns of stuff I’ve already seen and know is good. That would be a shame, because I’ve actually found some really good stuff based on the 5 star system that I wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

There's no reason it should've been cancelled. This is censorship, and there is nothing more pathetic than that. Especially in an open-ended rating system. You cannot TROLL anything to one star. Either people like it, or they don't. The people who liked it would've been overwhelming and equalled it out to 2.5 stars at least. People who deny this have no idea how statistics works, and I'd hate to see a perfectly good system thrown out due to misinformation and ignorance.

No one told me about this petition, I searched it on my own hoping it existed. Thank you for whoever made this, the thumbs up/down system is terrible. The star rating system was one of the best qualities of Netflix. If they don't change it I might consider changing to something else.

Have we really gotten to a point where 5 stars is too complicated and too dificult in today's fast paced society? I am NOT among them. Please bring the stars back to our skies!
