Its an awesome somewhat true program ive never completed a box set ever but i have seen every episode and have every dvd which have been watched hundreds of times ..also when my daughter was trying to come to terms with being gay i got her to watch L word and it helped her figure out who she was and she always said it was the best series ever

When the L Word first aired on the channel Living I believe, I was about. 15 and in denial. I knew I liked girls but didn't know how to be a Lesbian. What should I do, how should I act etc. I had never seen a tv series before that featured a cast playing lesbians . I'd seen the Scandelous Brookside episode where one of the characters kisses a girl ofcourse after the 9pm watershed ! When The L word first came on I was in awe finally a show I could relate to.. In every aspect . Until then I felt lost. A lesbian desperate to come out but frightened I wouldn't fit in or wasn't doing things right . The L word helped me to find myself and pluck up the courage to come out to people and to finally feel normal . I'm sure I'm
Not alone with feeling like this but we all related to the L Word in one way or another and have all had relationships we can alike to the characters in it. I was very sad when I heard season 6 would be the last season and that it would be a lot shorter than the rest. The season finale ended upbruptly and didn't really give the closure needed to all its fans. Please bring it back we miss the L word and nothing on TV now has ever taken its place. It was more than just a tv series for some it was a lifeline helping people realise it is ok to be Gay or Lesbian , to love or be loved . Please Netflixs bring the L Word Back :)

The L Word was a sow that everyone could relate to straight, lesbian or gay. It dealt with real life issues and let you know that u wasn't alone with what u was going through or what u had to face.

Because queer women need television shows to identify with, portraying LGBTIQ communities/families in the whole, rather than just a token lesbian character here or there!

It's an amazing series and a lot of lesbians I've met haven't even got the chance to see it but when I introduce them to it with my all seasons collection they can't get enough!
