It was the first show I ever watched that featured lesbians. The more I watched the more comfortable I became with being a lesbian myself. It calmed my fears about who I am and what I should or should not be. I knew being gay was ok and I set out on my journey of coming out. It made me realize that being gay didn't have to change any part of me and that I could be attracted to whatever girls I wanted.

This show was an outlet for the lgbtq community and gave us a sense of belonging in a humorous and entertaining way. The L Word has helped my self and many others accept our sexuality and give us the courage to embrace it. The characters have demonstrated the realities of relationships and also given the lgbtq community hope in finding happiness and support in our world. It would also be a great opportunity for Jenny's death to finally be explained
