Nest thermostats are hyped by its maker as "The Next Generation of Thermostats". However, the thermostat lacks some of the basic features of WiFi thermostats selling at almost a third of the price.
Basic features such as temperature alarms to avoid freezing pipes, fan control, temperature activation margin, a/c on humidity activation setting, away based on geo location settings and many more features that exist in a basic $99 wifi thermostat.
Users in the company's support and suggestions forum are being ignored while Nest has moved onto their next project.
Nest users want the company to pay attention to its users and ACT.
