This is happening right now all over our country! We live in NE Bend, Oregon and two businesses are opening up right at the heart of our single family communities, where children ride bikes, scooters and play basketball every day. These businesses are mental health treatment programs, where persons being treated for "serious mental illness" will transition in and out of.... These facilities are less than 850 feet from two schools, with hundreds of school children walking to and from. This is being run by a private, for profit company, who is contracted by the County. Our tax dollars are paying for this, but there has been no input from, or notification of, tax paying citizens or any consideration or involvement of the very communities they will impact. Our repeated attempts to work together with government officials have been completely disregarded. Please take a minute to check out the discussion tab. Help us spread the word this is unacceptable.
