Okay neighbors. I want to organize a petition that I would give to the city planning commission. I'm not going to guarantee that it will do any good but I want to try to preserve our quality of life in our neighborhood. I want to make the argument that this developers decisions doesn't just affect your neighbors it affects ALL of us.
-Our school is over-crowded. Class sizes close to maxing out.
-Our amenities, especially the pools in the summer are crowded and bear the signs of over use.
-They already plan to shove 900 houses in our neighborhood...and they just paid to remove a expensive natural gas pipeline to shove in, what 20 more?
Jerrod will try to be our advocate but I think it's time to stand up for ourselves. Please comment below and if there is enough interest I would like us all to at least sign a petition.

The city planning commission has officially acknowledged receipt of our files. We are waiting for a date for the public hearing to present these concerns.

The momentum is undeniable now. It proves this is about much more than just a few streets.

Amenities cannot accommodate that many additional houses, schools cannot accommodate that many additional children. As a realtor and resident, I have sold houses on Rolling Hill Way and they were told and even paid a premium for a green belt lot. That should not be taken away from them.
We had were promised our children could attend DCGV through their Elementary years. Now one of my children will go to Rose Union due to over crowding. Please put our children first.
We chose this neighborhood based on the schools. To have that be put in jeopardy is sad. Our children deserve more than the developers greed.
Many people move to this neighborhood for the schools. If you choose to sacrifice the school you will lose many quality residents, home values will decrease and all you have done is continue to lower the quality of education in Oklahoma. Job well done...
I understand business, but I also understand good business. If someone was promised something, even not in writing, there should be an effort to remediate the situation in a way that doesn't leave a lot of negative feelings with the folks affected. Put in a tree line, stone wall, expand the buffer, something..
We have something special....let's not screw it up.

The neighborhood is currently a family friendly, wonderful development with great amenities. It should not be ruined by overdevelopment and greed of builders to make money on every inch of land. Safety also becomes an issue. Most of all the highly ranked schools are overcrowded jeopardizing the quality of the education of our children at this highly sought after area.
