My family and our friends had a wonderful time watching the movie in the park, we were really looking forward to the next one this summer. We are disappointed HB had to cancel this family event. Immediate community? We live in the Moffett Track and I don’t mind sharing our park with our friends and neighbors that live beyond Moffett. Immediate Community? Give me a break, then lets just have kids that live in Moffett go to Moffett Elementary for the “Immediate Community.” Hypocrites. There are kids playing soccer, baseball, etc. Do they need reservations from now on? During the time the movie would take place, there are usually just one or two people with their dogs off their leash. Let’s bring back movies the park!

Great way to meet neighbors and enjoy a summer evening. Many people are not at the parks at night anyway so I can’t see where this would be a problem. Thank you for considering our request.

Our parks should be celebrated. Please let things like this happen.

I feel like "reservations" imply a since of exclusivity and privacy. In other words, when you reserve a table or an area, you are letting everyone else know they don't have access because you have already claimed your exclusive rights to that area for the reserved time. We need to change the City's definition of "reservation". Just because we plan an event or a game for everyone to partake in, doesn't mean we are reserving the park exclusively for this event but rather letting people know a day and time to come and enjoy a good time with us. The park is still open for everyone to use, there is no admission being charged, and you are still able to enjoy the park as you normally would without regard to whatever a movie playing or game being played.
