Such a joke. So pathetic city puts drug addicts before everyone else's safety. Discusting!

Parks where children play should not be a place for drug use

This is sad, and I have also seen this in playgrounds where kids play. Maybe we need to hire some summer students to walk areas and safely dispose of this stuff before kids get them! Kids will play and experiment, not knowing any of the dangers!! Please help to correct this situation. Thank you!

The idiots on city council should be out cleaning up after the junkies.

We had a meeting with Lethbridge City Police Downtown Patrol and they had a recommendation that people should get paid for returning their used needles, gives them incentive to bring them back. Guaranteed you wouldn't find very many needles randomly laying on the ground if they got paid for returning them.

I have a child on the way and it's scary to think that they might not be safe at parks anymore due to drug users in Lethbridge. Please be more aware of our youth because they are our future.

Please sign this petition! Save the future for our children! It's gone too long without the city and the mayor doing nothing but encourage junkies. Us as people need to come together to clean this up ourselves.

This needs to stop. Either have much higher rules and safety policies in place, or better yet get rid of the program and stop enabling the addicts. How about instead of spending the money on this you spend the money on something useful like free drug rehab programs.

The rest of the citizens should not have to suffer the consequences of other people's poor choices. Let's clean this city up.

I’m all for the safe injection site, but needles should /not/ be handed out like they currently are. Either they stay in the safe injection site, or they have very strict rules about returning them to the injection site.

The drug epidemic in this city and surrounding area is extremely sad. However, putting the needs of the addicts over the needs of helpless children is unfair. The city needs to gain control over this free-for-all on needles!

Something needs to change. Especially since it is putting our children at risk.

Since the decision to hand out free needles the city has seen an increase in needle usage and incidents of them being discarded in a unsafe manner, supply of needles for drug use is limitless, my diabetic family has to pay for them!
