Do NOT take the ONLY FIELD our children have left to play in!! The Landing is for OUR CHILDREN!!!! IF THE SENIOR CITIZENS IN OUR DEVELOPMENT WANT A PICKLEBALL COURT OF THEIR OWN, TURN ONE OF THE TENNIS COURTS INTO TWO PICKLEBALL COURT, BUT YOU WILL NOT TAKE OUR CHILDREN'S FIELD!!!!!

Mirabay is a FAMILY oriented community. We need more green space for our children to kick a ball, throw a ball, and hit a ball. It’s even dangerous for children to ride their bikes here because Mirabay allows parking on the street and blocking of sidewalks. Children weaving in and out down the streets while cars, trucks and utility vehicles go speeding past. Crosswalks, restrooms at the parks, splash pad, bike paths would benefit this community and bring it back to life. We’re already packed to the gills with houses on top of one another, but to continue to add adult amenities without taking into consideration the families that make up the majority of this community is absurd.

DO NOT PUT PICKLEBALL IN THE GREEN SPACE/FIELD NEXT TO THE LANDINGS PLAYGROUND! That green space is for children and families!

I have 5 year old triplets and moved to Mira Bay 5 years ago as well…so I have haven’t been able to attend meetings. But I do think there is a strong sentiment about this community: it caters to the loud adults and frowns on the young families. Our kids amenities are few and far between, the green space we have is all getting torn up to build something else (for adults), and residents seem to think the pool should be adult only. I have taken my kids to our pool maybe 5 times since we’ve lived here because I’m sick of the eye-rolls when my kids are laughing and playing. It’s becoming a 55+ community and I have felt that change mostly in the last 3 years. I would love for my young family to be able to enjoy this community too.

We struggled to find sports for our 7 year old son recently. I’m shocked at the lack of options here in our neighborhood.
