THAT:

There are major inequalities in the funding of education between the following local school boards:

Near North DSB, Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board, the Conseil Scolaire Catholique Franco-Nord and the Conseil Scolaire Public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario.
Whereas in 2009-10
The Near North BSB received $12,474 per student,
Whereas Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board received $13,809 per student,
Whereas Conseil Scolaire Catholique Franco-Nord received $16,831 per student;
Whereas Conseil Scolaire Public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario received $20,728per student.
THEREFORE, the following petitioners request that:

MPP Monique Smith and Premier McGuinty equally fund all elementary and secondary students in the Near North District School Board and Ontario’s public school system as they deserve to be treated fairly and deserve the same education opportunities.
