As a senior student as NDSS I was looking forward to spending a night with my fellow classmates where we would stay awake and talk to all hours of the morning with or without food. It didn't matter to me, all I wanted was to be with people that I most likely won't see in 4 months. According to multiple sources this has been denied because of safety concerns. The administration has acknowledged the volume of interest regarding the WakeAThon. I have requested a formal meeting with the principal to review the safety protocols that were cited as the reason for the cancellation.

Students should be aloud to do fundraisers as such. As long as there's a person with first aid present and the parent of the student says it's okay then I see no harm.
Let's do this! I have gone every year where my health permits me to and it being my last year it would be a shame not to go
It supports a very good cause. If students want to do it they should be allowed. It's in a safe environment, unless u want students doing wherever they like

It would mean a lot if we could do this. It is one of the few chances I have to hang out with my group of friends in the same place at the same time!
I think as long as people eat a big meal before showing up they should be just fine.

I don't understand how it's safe for other schools and not ND, they did famines before other schools and it was always a lot of fun in a safe environment with teachers around, students were always respectful of the rules and looked forward to spending a night with their friends
