We, the undersigned Professional Players of the National Dodgeball League, hereby state to the Commissioner and Organization our intended non-participation in the 2014 National Dodgeball League Dodgeball World Championships due to the imposed restriction by the Organization against the participants of the Elite Dodgeball Invitational.
We further state that the Organization has failed in recognizing and applying the ideas and feedback of the supporting dodgeball community, resulting in the Organization consistently losing significant Professional and Amateur player participation and interest each continued year of operation.
We assert and assure that Elite Dodgeball has never dissuaded players from participating in National Dodgeball League events, nor has Elite Dodgeball ever sought to derail or otherwise damage the National Dodgeball League's presence.
We appeal to the Commissioner and Organization to remove the restriction upon the Professional Players, and to re-evaluate and re-establish the National Dodgeball League's stance towards the dodgeball community.

I really thought this might just fizzle out in a week or two but the amount of people showing up is honestly kind of shocking. People are finally waking up to the fact that we deserve better than these arbitrary rules about where we can play and I am just sitting here staring at the screen processing all this support.

Dodgeball is about community. No reason to fight over players. People will play with organizations if they are competitive in quality. If the NDL is losing players, they should revisit their business plan.
That's just filthy. The love and camaraderie shared between true dodgeballers extends into every league they compete in. I represent every league I play in with pride and without any sort of congressional style sniping between the different ones that exist. This is the greatest sport in the world specifically because it does not engage the type of behavior your league is currently displaying. Focus should be on growing the sport, not dividing it. Get your act together. As a family we all have long memories.
I can't believe someone who said in the beginning that he wanted to expand and grow the sport we know and love is trying to discredit and rid themselves of pros for participating in dodgeball tournament outside the NDL. what's next I can't participate in my charity tournaments anymore either now?
This is not what dodgeball needs. As a growing sport and to support continued interest all aspects, play styles and leagues should be incorporated and participated. with any business venture or idea some get better and some do worse. The sport should not suffer from the result of another's failure to adapt or include others ideas and opinions. Those who do are just being selfish or greedy.
I've been a participant of the NDL since 2005 and have attended every single DWC with the exception of 2009 and have witnessed the continued loss of interest and participation. I do not claim to know what it can all be ascribed to, but banning non-paid "pros" from participating in any other form of Dodgeball is detrimental to the sport itself, which already has enough challenges ahead.

Never their biggest fan anyway, but now won't bother with them. From a league manager standpoint, this is a shame.

I support Vince fully in his efforts to grow dodgeball. I consider him a great ambassador to the sport , and he should be recognized for his efforts, not penalized. I consider him a friend that I can go to with any dodgeball related question or concern. If the NDL does not reinstate him, they would lose a valuable member to the community.
