The Laws that Supports a Custodial Parents (CP) right are doing nothing more than taking the rights away of Share Custody and Non Custodial Parents (NCP). Many NCP's are being cheated out of seeing their children and being able to support themselves. If a NCP has to get a second employment to survive, why does the CP have the right to take that income as well. This only keeps the NCP from still being able to survive. Fact, none of the child support is ordered to be put in any kind of fund for the children to use for college or any other unexpected need they might acquire as they near becoming adults. Fact, if a CP that does not receive child support and is remarried to a NCP that pays child support. If the CP applies for any Government Subsidies such as Grants for College, medical, or financial support for their children the new spouses income is to be considered. Why? This person is not the biological parent. The new partner is considered in everything because they live in the home. Why doesn't this apply when child support is ordered? Many parents are separated or divorced, then remarried or living with another person. When child support is calculated these new partners are not considered. Why not? They live there, eat, bathe, etc. Then these CP's have three incomes in their home and live luxurious lives with new cars, yearly vacations, expensive home furnishings, etc. All the while the NCP struggles to survive. Then you have those NCP's that pay child support who are remarried or living with a CP whom does not receive child support. The NCP in this case not only takes the responsibility of their children but accepts the responsibility of children who do not receive any financial support from their NCP. Some of these NCP's even put them selves in dept for trying to help children that have no other support. Fact, this is not considered when support is ordered by the Courts. Fact, some CP's can get more child support annually than a NCP's spouses earnings annually. I know this because this is my life. Now three children have no parent supporting them financially because my income is in essence is supporting my husbands obligations. Many NCP's are robbed from being parents to their children because of over bearing greedy CP's who think they have the right to make all the choices in a child's life. With NCP's paying way in excess of what they need too. Some are not able to be parents because they are working two or three jobs. Some because of not having the funds to provide the means of getting their allotted time with their children because of the amount of support being payed to the CP. Fact, there are NCP's out there living in cars, on streets, with friends, family members or not paying at all because of the Laws allotting CP's to receive excessive amounts in child support payments. Times have changed and the Laws need to as well.The Child Support Laws were set in place for those DEAD BEATS who evaded their responsibilities. They were not considered for the NCP's whom love and want nothing more to be a parent to their children, they have lost all their rights as parents. Children also have lost rights, rights of having both parents in their lives. These Laws have allowed many CP's to alienate the children from the NCP's and be greedy for their own pleasures. The Child Support Laws need to reviewed and changed so that NCP's can survive and be parents to their children. So, that CP's can stop taking advantage of NCP's and alienating them from the children. Take a stand for your rights as a parent and human being. God did not intend for our children to just have one parent.
