I’ve worked through the pandemic, the only time I was off is when someone was exposed I had to get tested and quarantine. We deal with a lot of residence so we are not sure who may or may not have the virus.

We are in constant contact with residents and homeless people , who do not wear mask. They poop ,urinate ,and spit wherever they want in elevators and stairwells. The environment we work in was already hazardous then covid made it worse. We deserve our share.

As an employee of Louisville Metro Housing Authority I have constant and routine interactions with people of all accounts. Since the very beginning of the pandemic my job as required of me to be up close and in person with people at there most vulnerable times. In the homes of residents in emergency situations or close proximity to multiple employees on any given day. As LMHA employees we are on the front lines, having close contact with numerous people never knowing if they have covid until we in fact have symptoms of covid. Being in the dark about this is has cause constant fear and anxiety with me and my family. Once i had finally tested positive I soon learned I had gave it to my wife and 4 kids. The past two years my wife and kids has had to Quarantine multiple times, my wife missing work and causing my kids to miss school now they are falling behind. One of the few things that made it easier was recieving a pay increase that was short lived. We no longer are being compensated for our efforts as essential workers so some form of financial relief would be helpful and much appreciated.

We are city employees also! We've been in consistently worse conditions than essentially anyone else. We work in unsanitary conditions every single day, and far be it from me to judge anyone, but we work in close quarters with people, and some of them are very unclean.

We our out here every type of weather. We have had to show up during the heights of this pandemic and we continue to show up. Employees have been exposed to this virus. Day in and day out we have not been properly paid for the work, environment, people, and weather. When deserve the money we are owed w/o it being a give and take situation. Give us ours.

I worked through the pandemic and took chances going into resident's home doing work orders daily. I end up getting covid and giving it to my family. I feel like the maintenance workers should get paid also.
