I am a graduating student at a very small liberal arts college called New College of Florida. We currently do not have a graduation speaker lined up for this year, and I thought that George Takei would make an excellent speaker. He embodies many of the ideals that New College strives for, especially in his work for LGBT rights and Japanese-American relations. He has received numerous awards for his work in these areas, and uses his fame from his acting career to educate others. Also, as anyone who follows his Twitter or Facebook accounts knows, he is wonderfully funny. So sign this petition, and work to get George Takei as our graduation speaker!
