Asset to the community. If marketed correctly, and had extended hours, money could be made to assist in supporting it.

This community needs this pool & facility. It needs to be more than just a semester based operation.

Closing the NCCC pool would do a great injustice to this community. A year round facility to swim, learn and recreate in is both a benefit and a necessity in this area. We have numerous athletes that use it to train. The ability to teach not only swim lessons, but numerous other water related skills is an absolute must for everyone who resides and visits this area that is surrounded by water. The NCCC pool allows families to recreate together throughout the year. This community as well as the college needs to work together to keep this pool and utilize it to it's fullest extent.

To close an entire communities only resource to swim lessons, is a complete disservice to that community. These kids deserve the opportunity to be on a swim team. Families deserve the access to lessons and recreation. In an age of fully knowing the benefits of a healthy lifestyle; why would you take away the communities main resource to exercise and recreation? In an age of fully knowing the benefits of family bonding through recreation; why would take away the main source of that during the winter? From a safety standpoint, why would you take away the opportunity for kids to learn how to swim? Please do close this pool!

Many people can’t get out in the winters to exercise for various reasons, swimming at NCCC is an important asset for this area as it allows us to get great exercise, all year round.
