Americorps *NCCC offers community service of at least 1700 hours PER MEMBER. Members work in the areas of Unmet Human Needs, Education, Environment, Disaster Relief & Firefighting. Not only does this silent community service program have roots in all aspects of volunteering, it is a major support system for Red Cross and Fema during natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina. Our country simply cannot afford to cut this program!
