Cal State LA March 4th United Day of Action

To all Cal State LA Students, Workers, and Community: On March 4, 2010 we, a unified body of students/workers/parents/community, have made a commitment to fight for K-12 and Higher Education. All sectors of education will practice political action condemning furloughs, pay cuts, layoffs, lack of access and resources to our academic communities. NO longer will our campus, Cal State LA, be apathetic! We demand: 1. Free and fully funded education. (From pre-school through graduate school for all. No privatization). 2. No faculty or staff layoff, furloughs, and pay cuts. (Living wages for all workers. Rescind the cuts). 3. End of wars, bailouts, and mass incarcerations. (Expand education, jobs, health care, and social services). 4. Democratize educational governance. (An elected council of teachers, workers, students, and parents to run public education). Legislators have demonstrated where their allegiance lies. NOW the people will DEMONSTRATE where the power is!
